How I put a price tag on a brand deal

We are currently discussing brand deals in our Discord community, and I thought this would be useful.

My current strategy with brand deals:

- we always ask for a higher price and then negotiate. Sometimes we say the price is $5,000, but end up charging $2,500 (depending on the channel and the video)

- I have a remote sales person who helps me do deals

- we always rely on an agreement provided by the brand, but Kate (my sales manager) looks for clauses like exclusivity (whether I can work with other similar brands) and usage rights (whether a brand can use my video in their ads) and try to take them out of the agreement

- I know how much I can make from advertising my own products in the video and that is the benchmark for pricing the deal
